Perched at 1,400 feet on the cool slopes of Mt. Hualalai, the Estate resides in harmony among fragrant flower gardens, tropical fruit and Kona coffee trees, culinary herb gardens, and rustic walking trails. Early Hawaiian footpaths wind through the estate and along green pastures rich with sweet guava and liliko’i. The entrance is lined with avocado and mango trees, and a riot of red torch ginger beckons you up to the pineapple gardens. Continue along the lava path to the fruit orchard, past the nursery and up to Malulani Pavilion for an infinity view out over the blue Hawaiian sea.

Throughout the Inn, Old Hawai’i is masterfully echoed. The original eucalyptus floors have been restored with care. Designed for indoor-outdoor living, the Great Room features select works from local artists, a player piano, traditional Polynesian furniture, stunning sculptural accents, a working fireplace and sweeping garden views. Facing the gardens and rows of Kona Coffee trees, the covered lanai is complet with rockers and a daybed. One perfect perch, the rooftop gazebo is a favorite for both morning coffee and evening sunsets.
